Grow on YouTube | How to create YouTube content fast?

Failing to plan is planning to fail, which also applies to YouTube.

In a previous blog post, "How to start and grow your YouTube channel in 2024?", I discussed a technique that helps me generate content ideas. Again, I don’t believe content creators struggle with the technical part; they struggle with the creative part. Nowadays, many content creators use AI to generate content ideas, and many social media influencers are sharing ChatGPT prompts to generate content ideas. However, as much as I like ChatGPT or Bard, I believe the human brain is more creative.

So, here’s how you can create YouTube content fast.

Create a plan, identify tasks and start executing

Imagine you are working on a project and have a deadline to deliver this project. To start working on the project, you must identify the tasks and assign each task to a team. Then, the team will create subtasks, divide the workload and assign each subtask to a member.

Creating a YouTube video is your project, but you probably don’t have a team to help. So, how can you manage this project?

Luckily, this project has the same process each time you start working on it. But what are the tasks and subtasks?

Creating a YouTube video

  • Choosing the topic of the video and content brainstorming
  • Write a script

                                    Hook - Problem

                                    Body -  Solutions and examples

                                    Conclusion - Summary

                                    CTA - Call to action

  • Produce assets

Set up the shooting area and equipment

                                    Filming

                                    Editing

                                    Exporting

  • Uploading, Optimizing & Publishing

                                    Video Title = Keyword research

                                    Video Description = Description

                                    Links

                                    Related Videos

                                    Additional resources

                                    Tags

                                    Video thumbnail

Create a process and a workflow

The greatest thing about creating YouTube videos is that you have to follow the same process each time. So, once you have a process in place, you know exactly what to do, when, and how to do it. This helps reduce the production process, allowing you to create more valuable content in less time.

This is how my workflow usually looks like, and this is the timeline of the content creation process. I will add the link to this resource in the description section so you can use it as a reference in future.

Brainstorming

Staying consistent is key to growing on YouTube. To stay consistent, you must plan your content, which should be valuable. So, you have to balance quantity and quality.

You must identify the topics you will discuss in your videos to achieve that balance. I like to use a technique called mind mapping to do this.

If this term is unfamiliar, mind mapping is simply a diagram used to link information visually. This visual diagram helps you develop and organize ideas and information. This technique is also used in problem-solving and decision-making and is one of my favourite techniques for creating content.

I like to use the Mind Node app. Unfortunately, it’s not free, so if you want to invest in it, I will add a link to the description box below. Otherwise, you can create a mind map using pen and paper.

Here’s an example:

I created this mind map to create a content calendar for launching Digibites.

Here’s what it looks like.

Starting the video production process

Now that you have the topics you will discuss, you can start the content production process.

To create visually appealing content, you need to be ready to face the camera, and I don’t mean how you look. I mean, what will you be discussing in your video?

Improvising in front of the camera is not an option. You have to be ready with a script. A script will make you look and sound more professional, especially if you share educational content. The length of the video requires you to be well-prepared. Professional YouTubers or news anchors usually use something called Teleprompter. It’s a device that displays the text, and the camera is placed right behind it. So, when you think they are looking and speaking to the camera, they are reading a script.

Did you think they could memorize all that information by heart? The good news is you don’t need such gear at the beginning of your journey. However, you will need to create a script.

If you want to create a professional script, follow this simple method.

Divide your content into 3 sections:

  • The Hook
  • The content
  • The call the action.

The hook

Astrong statement that will capture your audience's attention and make them continue watching your video. The hook should be about a problem your audience is facing and should be relevant to the video title and content. Many resources suggest that the average attention span for YouTube videos is around 8 seconds. So, your hook should not exceed 8 seconds if you want people to continue watching your video.

For example, I met YouTube monetization criteria just 11 weeks after launching my channel. Here’s how I did it!

Considering that some content creators fail to monetize their channels even a year after launching, do you think this is not appealing to a viewer who has never seen one of your videos before?

The content

First, you must greet your audience and tell them about the content you will share on your channel.

For example: Hello everyone, welcome to Digibites. My name is M, and I am the founder of Digibtes.

We help content creators establish a solid online presence and drive sales using simple, effective digital marketing techniques.

Second, you need to jump into the topic. In this section, you must highlight the main problem and give examples.

For example, most aspiring YouTubers end their journey before even starting it. They get frustrated after spending hours creating and editing videos, but eventually, their content is not seen by anyone. They gave up after six months of hard work because they couldn’t get 1000 subscribers. This can be due to many factors and minor issues that can be fixed, but because of their lack of understanding of the algorithm, their hard effort seems to be in vain.

Then you add an example: Ali Abdal, a YouTuber with several million YouTube subscribers, got his first 1000 followers after six months of regularly posting on YouTube.

But what if you could achieve that growth in just 11 weeks, like I did? Here’s how I did it.

You start listing the techniques, methods and tools you used to achieve those results while explaining how each step can affect the growth journey, whether positively or negatively. You can also add screenshots from your YouTube studio to prove that you achieved those results. Don't forget to add more examples and statistics from trusted resources as references for your audience.

CTA or Call to action

Finally, you add your CTA. Your call to action is not just about subscribing to your channel or liking a video. You can be more creative. Your call to action should be about the added value your audience will get if they take the action.

For example, if you have any questions or suggestions, share them with us on our Instagram. This is called social media followers cross-selling. To drive followers to another social media platform.
